Understanding the GATE Exam Structure( Exam Duration: 3 hours, Total Marks 100)

The GATE Coaching Exam Tests your understanding in both General Aptitude and your chosen Engineering subject. It is divided into two main sections

 

 

General Aptitude (GA) (15 marks)

This section assesses your language and analytical skills through multiple-choice questions.

Technical Subject (85 marks)

You will answer to questions about your particular area of engineering. These questions test your understanding of core concepts, problem solving skills and technical knowledge.

Question Types

This exam contains of multiple choice question by which you will choose the correct answer from the four given options and numerical answer type (NAT) questions, where you have to provide the answer in numerical. It does not provide any options.
